Shreve Island Elementary

Shreve Island is a Leadership School. The students and teachers follow the leadership model set by Stephen Coveys Seven Habits for Highly Effective Children. This model is called the Leader in Me. Our students learn that they are leaders of themselves and each child has a talent in which they can use to lead others. Recently Shreve Island was honored to receive Lighthouse Status from the Leader in Me. Lighthouse Status has only been given to 200 schools world-wide. As a Lighthouse School, Shreve Island serves as a model for other schools beginning the Leader in Me model. Additionally, Shreve Island is a National Blue Ribbon School.
